ParticipantHi,
I have a Kitchen Aid Artisan 4 slot toaster. Only one half of the toaster heats up and works. Checked the elements witha meter both same resistance. Each side has a small control board with a browning sitch and spring loaded on odd button, all with small surfcae mount components. I suspect the board is faulty but cant find where to get a replacment. Too good to throw in the bin. Any ideas?
Thanks
Tony

Hi Don,
I appreciate the reply. Been trying KitchenAid all morning. They dont seem interested in lowley toasters. The spares department said Oh toasters here’s another numer, got put throught to Curry’s! Tech services are almost impossible to get thtrough to, customer service from these guy’s is very poor and hard work.
Regards
Tony

Yes the lever does stay down, these are manual levers and can be poerated at any time during the cycle, they are dependant on the timer.

This sort of thing is damned frustrating…..the answer is probably …..old-fashioned snail-mail.
If you write to the service-manager, explain the problems you’ve had with being handed-off and the lack of interest by the third-party, they WILL act! -That’s unless they really can’t be bothered with the UK market.
As the world is in recession, any sales have to be pursued and screwing-up your after-sales reputation is not the way to build customer-confidence.
The other point, is that you create a paper trail…..much harder to hit delete and deny any knowledge of the issue.
It’s a hassle for you, make it a hassle for them, they’ll take the easy way out and actually do their job properly.
Yup! I live in a dream world. 😆
