Knocking Noise Of My Miele

Hi, I have a Miele W731 in fantastic condition. However, the machine has started making a knocking noise on the spin. Has anyone any idea what the problem could be.

Also, can any recommend a good engineer in the Oldham area.

the hope is the shock absorbers have failed if its anything else it could get expensive

Thanks for reply. I know the machine is getting on in years now, but it looks brand new. I wondered if the machine is worth spending money on to repair it. How many shock absorbers does the machine have as ebay has some miele parts.

machine will have 2 shocks

you can get an idea if they have gone by

unplug machine
remove lid
place you hands on top of the drum
now push down and let go on the drum ( you are trying to bounce the drum like a ball)
if drum bounces easily then shocks have gone if not may be the bearings

Hi. I managed to buy shock absorbers for my machine and fitted them. The machine is working great. Hoping to get a few more year out of the machine.
