Kuppersbusch Dishwasher – replacement spray arm

The polypropylene lower spray arm in my IGV659.2 model dishwasher has split open – due to plastic fatigue (?) – the loss of water pressure means neither it nor the top arm will rotate.

I am having real trouble locating a replacement part. Kuppersbusch (aka Teka) have outsourced all their tech-support and spares to Partmaster (PM), who themselves deny any knowledge of this part (despite the day-before telling me it WAS available). Teka variously tellme I need part no 426640 or 422640 (one of these nos is almost certainly wrong).

Can someone offer any advice on whether any Bosch/Neff etc parts are interchnangeable (they seem to be – the Bosch/AEG/Neff models I see in shops seem to be 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} identical internally), or alternately help my find a Kuppersbusch part from another model which will work.

Partmaster do have slighlty different (s-shaped, mine is straight) arms for other Kuppersbusch DW’s (eg IGV692.1 model – is there any difference?) – but I am not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} convinced the parts are compatible – certainly the push-in-connector looks the same, and I assume overall dimensions are fairly standard.

Hi,

I don’t think the Bosch one available here is right, I just have a bad feeling about it. It’s possible that it’s the same but I’m not convinced.

The IGV659.1 looks to be identical to the IGV659.2 with some minor cosmetic differences but, it’s really hard to tell from the Teka disc as it’s as old as the hills. I can only confirm that part number 422640 (available here) fits the early version but, I’m pretty confident it’s the exact same as the later version.

thanks for that tip. I’m going to try the Bosch one first (as the price is so much lower) – have ordered it from this very website; and if it doesn’t fit I’ll try to return it and then go for the kuppersbusch-specific one.
