    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone may be able to help me. I have the Kuppersbusch IGV659.4/03 dishwasher that has been pretty faultless since we moved into our house about a year ago. Today I noticed the pots are wet when the cycle has finished and there is no steam when opening the door.

I’ve had a bit of a search and it appears this model doesn’t have a stand alone heating element but it’s within another part, so it may not be as straightforward, or cheap, to fix. All the filters are clean and there’s been rinse aid and all that good stuff in there when using it.

No obvious fault codes are displayed and the rest of the cycle looks to go without a hitch, we are just missing the heat.

I’ve tried getting in touch with the manufacturer for some assistance but thought I’d try on here while I’m waiting if anyone can point me in the right direction?

    Cheers

find and measure the resistance of the element would be my first job

just looked up the diagram and that’s a Bosch built unit

in that case my first port of call would be the timer. The relays on the board are prone to bad solder joints stopping it heating

Thanks for that, shall check the board first off. Do you have a copy of the diagram or a link to where you found it?

    Cheers

Thanks. Got it all apart, relays look ok but K1 module is looking a bit charred. That looks to be ‘display of the adjustment module’ according to the translator – could this be the culprit?

    post a pic its quicker

have a very close look at the relays. the solder joints can fail and sometimes its not that obvious unless you magnify it

interesting, heater relay looks like it been getting a bit warm. joints look a bit suspect but I think I would replace the relay first and see what happens from there
