    Got a call to look at one of these LG direct drive jobbies, 3 year old WM1080FHD, bearings noisy & report of brown rusty stain under machine at back.
    Never worked on a direct drive machine before. Is it straight forward enough to dismantle the direct drive motor off back & do bearing job or what should I look out for, any advise appreciated.

    Its probably one of the easiest bearing changes you will ever do.

    Drum out the back – like Zanussi split tub, you’ll need a bit of space.
