We inherited a Bocuse years ago and only use the hobs as the ovens are too expensive to maintain and run. The gas supply has been and is from butagas (blue calor bottles).

Recently the front little burner stopped working and there does not seem to be a gas supply to this burner. The other burners are fine. I am aware of the rules regarding advice on LPG and natural gas appliances but any ideas of which direction to think in would be useful before calling out an engineer (if we can find one locally). We are fairly remote in Scotland. If it is a problem with the jets would the replacement be LPG or natural gas jets ?.

    With kind regards,

If it’s on Calor gas then it’s LPG.

Could be anything really but I’d suspect the gas tap if there’s no supply to only one burner.

    Hi

The jets if running on butane are fine and compatible with the LPG red bottles which are far more economical .The jet will be blocked which will normally only need cleaning. I may have a set of dual bottle valves for LPG available shortly if I remove the cooker from my other house and will let you know.1 37Kg LPG lasted me about 6 months of heavy cooking on a all gas range cooker so should last you between 6-9 months approx £90 for 2 bottles 1 year + worth.
