ParticipantHi, looking for some advice please.
Unable to select any programmes and start the machine.
When machine is switched on, the red light (to the left of the temperature LEDs) comes on, and all of the green temperature LEDs illuminate briefly, then go out.
The red LED remains on constantly, but the start button does not illuminate at all.
I’ve removed and cleaned all of the filters, although they appeared to be fairly clean anyway.
There was a small pool of water at the base of the machine (above the pump ?). I have dried out the water, but again no sign of any debris.
Any advice would be appreciated.August 14, 2016 at 5:46 pm #440153GuyW

Was this water in the under-tray that is fixed to the bottom of the machine? It sounds as if you weren’t looking at the very base of the machine as you say it was above the pump? Many machines have a cut-out float switch situated at the very lowest point of the undertray. It is designed to cut out if more than about 1/2″ of water accumulates in the tray.

Correct. The water was in the under tray.
It’s now dried out, so I presume it’s not an issue with the cut-out float switch?August 14, 2016 at 8:20 pm #440155GuyW

No, I don’t think so. The float switch should reset automatically, although I suppose in theory it might stick in the open circuit position.
