Lamona 8605 Integrated Dishwasher

This is my daughter in-laws appliance, it started out ‘not working’ so I had a quick look, it appeared that the water inlet solenoid had stopped working, 240 supply in but not opening. I replaced it today & the unit now opens & supplies water but it just constantly recycles without washing, the unit sticks on P1 & constanly pumps the incoming water out, even with the water supply off, it is constantly pumping, the sump is (dryish) certainly not enough water to activate the float switch, if i move the float I can hear the microswitch clicking on & off so I’m reasonably sure that that is ok. Is there a water level sensor, or could it be the water metering not sensing correctly? I’m at a loss with it. Thanks in advance

It does have a metering tank behind the left side panel so it’s worth checking if that’s clear, no gunk or blockages in it.
