ParticipantHi,
I have a Lamona HJA8630 dishwasher.
I’ve scoured the internet trying to
find out why it won’t run. I’ve found a couple of steps to seemingly reset the control unit but I’m starting to think the control unit needs replacing. Any help
to confirm this would be appreciated. When turn on see two red iconised lights, one looks like an S with arrows on the end, below this is a cog like symbol. These are constantly on. Unsure if this is normal as not paid any attention to them previously.
More detail on steps followed so far.
1. turned on
2. selected programme
3. hitting start (looks like a play / pause button) does nothing.also tried:-
1. power off
2. holding down start / cancel (few seconds)
2. turned onThis was seemingly doing something yesterday and until earlier today but still did not allow start button to be pressed and lit up.
Up until an hour or so ago, I was able to loop through programmes but now neither P or start/cancel button does anything.
I believe this unit has a self-test programme but I can’t seem
to get that running either.Anything else I can try or control board most likely issue?
Hopefully provided enough information.
Thanks

Moderatorthe S and cog are only the rinse aid and salt detector lamps. does not affect the programme if they are on or off
normally when you turn this unit on all the green lights come on, then they go off. its now it allows you to select a programme with the “P” key
does it let you do any of this ?

ParticipantHi Dave,
When I turn it on, I do see a row of green lights as you describe.
However, regardless of which button I press P or start, neither does anything.
I believe that it’s possible to reset or get into test mode by keeping ‘start’ pressed when turning on. I also believe the water softening settings can be accessed by holding P when turning on. Neither of these steps seem to be working either.
Its almost as though the buttons have somehow become disabled / disconnected. Is this feasible or pointing towards a control board issue?
Thanks
Gary
