ParticipantHi All,
firstly I couldn’t select any programs, it was stuck on one but still worked, now the display is stuck on all the time (all lights on) and reset has no affect. Please can you advise what spares I might need. Looking at the forum it suggests its the display board for the lights on issue but don’t know about the program stuck problem. In addition, if thats not enough the door just drops to the floor, the wire inside I assume has snapped. Is this mechanism in the door or side panel. Is this is an easy job to fix, please advise parts . I’m pretty competent at most things
thank youAugust 30, 2014 at 4:59 pm #418502electrofix

as you can imagine without more info its hard to guess a problem
Lamona is the brandname used by Howden joinery. they usually use Beko machines but not always
the door droping will be the springs or wires. pull out dishwasher and take sides off to see whats gone
as for the other problem.
Does the door feel like it opening and closing properly (with a click)
if not door switch may be in the closed position so buttons may not workDave

Hi Dave,
thanks for info, it’s a HJA8630, we’ve had it about 4 yrs, to be honest we’ve had no problems at all until recently. First it stuck on one program wash at a higher temp, the select button can be pressed but the icon on the display wont move. But it still worked fine. Then today all the lights came on and even with reset won’t go out ( obviously until turned off)
I’ve checked the door and it does click shut so that seems to be okAugust 31, 2014 at 2:09 pm #418504AlanC10

i’ve opened up the top half which houses the PCB modules. My display module has the coding 174962, the PCB on the spares/shop looks very different, unless this is housed within the plastic moulded outer with the clipped wire harness connections, is this correct.

I’ve changed the display board and all works fine. The most annoying thing is trying to find bolts the right length for the panel to re fix on. Heads worn originally and stripped in the panel. One of those quite easy to do jobs once you know, type of jobs.
