Lamona HJA 4620 Double Oven s/n 1010150406

Guys, been out to one of these today. Customer reported tripping the RCD when fan oven turned on, top oven fine. Checked fan and base elements all good at 27 ohms. Fault is as soon as selector is turned in any direction it trips – tried it with everything disconnected in turn – still trips – tried it with bulb holder disconnected still trips – tried it with earth disconnected from mains inlet – still tripped RCD –
No obvious chaffing or burning on loom.

Any help appreciated as always.

Have you not done an insulation test on the elements etc ?

Nope, didnt need to as tried the oven with elements disconnected – still trips.

Just had a thought – wonder if the oven stat is shorting – didnt try that as never had that fault before.

Have you checked the selector switch

Yes seems good, all “fingers” in place and in good condition.
