    Hi there folks.

I have a four year old Lamona (Beko-based?) dishwasher. The dishes are not being cleaned, and there appears to be a lack of heat – no steam when the door opens. On occasions, the tablet does not dissolve either. The cycle appears to run and water enters and is drained.

I have obtained the Lamona fault matrix service manual and run the cycle and interrogated the ‘five light’ fault code system. This code system does not seem too reliable but I have now got the NTC faulty code (not the heater error, curiously).

In your expert opinions, should I just replace the NTC, or could it be the heater that is more likely to be faulty?

After four years, should I just bite the bullet and buy a new machine for say £300? It gets used at least once every two days.

I would very much appreciate your help with this.

    Kind regards

    The thermistor is this one:

And the heater on that one is this it’s not that expensive either:

Worth a punt I’d think given that they’re so cheap and the dishwasher isn’t that old really.

Hi, I have exactly the same model, year and the same fault! Spooky.

Please could you let me know where I can get the…
“the Lamona fault matrix service manual and run the cycle and interrogated the ‘five light’ fault code system.”

Any help much appreciated, unfortunately our manual has long since gone.

    Hi again, folks.

I have bought and replaced the NTC and heater but no improvement. I have used an infrared temperature probe on the heater (and adjacent pipes) whilst the machine is running on a 70 deg C cycle, and the temperature does not get above 19 deg C.

PLEASE can someone help me out. Desperate to get this working. Don’t want to have to buy a new one after all this…

ukrich – I have a pdf if you send me your email address. I got it from calling the Lamona helpline on 08450060006.

    Many thanks
