Lamona hja3220 oven

Got a call to this today thats tripping the switch.
I set it on the grill and let it heat up and all was fine.
I then set it on the oven setting and it stayed on for about 5 mins I then turned the oven stat down a bit and as it clicked the stat off it tripped straight away.
The weird thing was when I turned the power back on the stat light was working in reverse, when the stat was off the light was on and when the stat was turned up to the point/temp it would click on, the light would go off.

Have you checked the terminal block on the back of the oven – I have had a couple of these burn out
