I called out to a dead oven, traced fault to thermal cut out O/C, didnt have one on board, so I fitted a bosch part BSH057895 red spot, A few hours later got a call telling me same fault. when I did test the oven its was getting hot, fans running, no faults found, any pointers as possible repeating cause please john

Firstly according to the circuit diagram the Cut-Out is rated at 250deg and the Bosch one says T175 but don’t know if this is the temperature or not.
Secondly you say that the oven heated but did you check the temperature inside the oven and was the thermostat working ok, I use one of these and find good value for the money.
