Hi there, upon starting a cycle my Lamona HJA8630 makes noise for about 20 or 30 seconds and then goes silent. Opening the dishwasher, the inside is cold, the tablet has not been released and there is water sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher. I think that the pump is fine because the water can be drained by cancelling the cycle (holding the start/stop button for 3 secs and closing the door). There is still power to the machine and the lights indicate that it is still running the cycle but no action resumes if it is left. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Phil

When it stops kneel down and listen for a slight hum, if there is than you’re wash motor has had it. If not it could be a wiring fault in the door loom or a board fault

Thanks Andy, just given that a try and couldn’t hear any hum. I suppose I might have missed it if it is very quiet but I had the bottom front panel off and my ear right in there so would be surprised if I didn’t hear it!
Anything else you can recommend to try? I have some electronics background but none with white goods.

Could be broken door wiring, water flow meter (most likely) or faulty pcb.
