    Hi, been out to a faulty hob which turned out to be an induction hob not had anything to do with these before, it’s a Lamona Lam1850 serial no.18 100416 06
    everything seems to work but not heating no error codes, child lock not on, any ideas please

    The only thing on there is power module and the only way to check that is that you have 240v coming to it and you have resistance values on the trials on the heat sink 1 of the trains will probably give you different readings to the other 2 don’t know what they should be have no tech info maybe dave will be able to help with that

    Ok thanks, looking at available spares for it there seems to be a module for left and one for right, but none of the jobs work?

    little or no tech
    they list a service manual but when i looked its for a gas hob

    there are 2 power board but they are both the same so its unlikely for both of them to fail. each power board supplies 2 rings.

    there is then a control board that controls the 2 power boards

    when you say everthing works does that mean you can control all the rings but not heat comes out ?

    bit like a demo mode

    Yes, turns on, select the hob select power then nothing no error codes, just won’t heat on any hob! Looking at the price of parts for this don’t want to get it wrong so may pass on it

    just replace the hob .thats what i do .. not worth the hassle
