Hiya, does anyone know which parts I should be looking for to repair a Lamona LAM 8301 whose program button no longer seems to work and now the “play” button seems also not to be registering?

This dishwasher itself works fine, it just seems to be the button contacts that have worn out. Not sure if I need to replace the entire control unit inside the door or just the buttons themselves, or even if its something worth attemptingg. There are a few parts websites around but it’s tricky to tell which are reliable.

    Any help much apprreciated!

well if its just a bad connection in the switches you can remove it and squirt a very small amount of wd40 onto the switch itself on the board. click the switch on and off about 30 times, wipe off excess and see if it works

would have looked up part no of the board but Beko tech site is having problems at the moment

double check with the shop but if all fails and you want to take a chance its the board this should be the one for your machine but it always worth double checking

In case anyone reads this, here’s how it went:

I managed to remove the dishwasher door and confirm that it was a printed circuit board behind the program button that was at fault – this and it’s plastic housing look relatively easy to DIY replace.

However the plastic in the bigger surrounding door panel unit was cooked so when I removed the door screws the mounts in this seperate part sheared off.

Basically once you factored in buying both parts it was cheaper to get it done professionally. Pacifica Group who service some Lamona items did a great job for a bit under £200 – parts were included in the cost – although it did take a month and two visits as it seems they’ve got a lot of work on.
