KeymasterRE LAMONA LAM3401 Single Built Under Electric Oven
I have switched the oven spur on. Upon inspection, the unit powers up and no error codes are displayed. The Cooling Fan runs continuously even though there is no heat. The main oven fan is functioning correctly.
After isolating the appliance from the supply and removed from oven housing unit. I dissembled and removed the top and rear thermostats.
Top thermostat is N120 tested with a multimeter for continuity, the result yes for continuity.
Rear thermostat is N130 tested with a multimeter for continuity, the result is yes for continuity.
Are these parts faulty or functioning correctly? Should they read community?
What parts do I need to further test or replace to resolve this issue,
Please see photos attached,Many Thanks in advance. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Moderatorfind the cooling fan
there will be 2 wires coming off itone will be a common wire possible going to an element or the like
the other one should go straight to the control thermostat. This stat should be open circuit until it reaches temperaturethis oven seems ot be made by samsung so have very little info on it

KeymasterHi Dave,
Thanks for your quick response,
When you say open circuit? Do you mean that at room temperature the stat should not have continunity? Ie not a closed circuit?
Is this the same for the other stat?
Should i replace both, as both at room temperature have continunity?
Thank you in advance?
Are there any other components i should check when i take out the oven today?
Thanks

Moderatorsome stats open when things get hot and others close when it gets hot. One of the stats is an overheat stat so that is closed until things overheat. The other i am assuming may be the fan stat that closes when it gets warm. Only tracing the wires from the fan to see where they go will confirm this. When you think you have it pull one wire off the stat. make sure nothing can touch or short out , then turn oven on and make sure all functions work except the fan

KeymasterHi Dave,
I uploaded a few photos so You can see the components.
The top oven cooling fan is the one running constantly.
I followed the dark pink wire to the stat and removed one connector leg, powered up and no functions work.
Tried the other leg and no functions work.
The stat at the rear (three blue wires) is the same when i try each leg inturn. No functions.
Any idea? Thanks
I only can use the oven functions when all connections are in place, however the display reads no error codes and the cooling fan is constantly running.
Thank you
