    Hi

I am looking to get a new fridge/freezer as my expanding family has outgrown our current trusty little Whirlpool.

I am limited to the size of appliance by it’s location in the kitchen. Height wise pretty much anything goes, and it can’t be wider than 600mm but what is causing a problem at the moment is the depth. This cannot exceed 600mm either due to boxed pipework that runs behind the FF. It needs to be a silver or similar colour.

After having a look at a the two local tin sheds (Currys & Comet) I have narrowed the choices down to:

    Beko CGA9956FF or CSB4606FF

    or

Hoover HNMF3905AALU or HCA39FALU (Are these the same? The 2nd one appears to be a Currys special)

Are either of these makes any good? Any alternatives given the depth issue?

I don’t want to make the same mistake I made when buying a Baumatic dsihwasher…(Read all about it here http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … pic&t=9642) a decsion that I rue to this day….should have got a Bosch.

    Your help is apprecaited.

Stay with that thought if I were you 😉

I’m not going to openly critisise any brand publicly but the 600mm depth shouldn’t be an issue really to be honest, most fridge/freezers are within that 🙂

    Dave

    Thanks for that.

Sadly all the Bosch FF in silver appear to exceed the 600mm depth measurement.

Given reasonable financial boundaries(sub £450), what other brands would be worth considering as an alternative.

I’ll try remeasuring the space to see whether the rear metal section of the FF might be able to fit round the pipework (it’s in a corner) thus allowing a slightly larger depth size…but I think 600mm is going to be my limit.

    Thanks.
