ParticipantThe latch on my LG WD1045FH has broken and I’m trying to source the part, which I have removed from the door. I have spent quite a while searching the Internet and can only find the door assembly, which includes the latch for £40. Surely the latch is available by itself for much less. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

Checked LG wesite and it`s complete door or nothing I`m afraid.

Thanks Bazza.
So not a complete waste then??
I have managed to keep the machine working by propping something against the door. Will try and fix the latch somehow before inevitably buying the complete door.April 10, 2007 at 8:41 am #210181dazzawazza

Is there anywhere that sells second-hand parts off wrecked appliances?
I live in London. ThanksApril 10, 2007 at 8:53 am #210182kwatt

Not really unless someone local just happens to have one. Second hand spares are a non-starter due to the number of them out there.

A long shot, but try looking around your local rubbish tip… WHOOPS! I mean ‘recycling centre’ 🙂
White goods usually have their own area, so if there is a machine present you should see it easily.

It would be a long shot, as Kwatt says due to the small number of these machines sold, you would be unlikely to find one under the huge mountain of Italian made machines on top of it. 😥

You could try p/no 3650ER3002A. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one if you email through with the part number.

penguin, that`s the part no. for the door handle, not the latch.

Last one I bought was a kit.

Mmmmm…… I`d watch that then cause I`ve bought just the handle before.
The picture on connect is just the handle but……
It makes more sense to sell it as a kit but then when did sense come into it?
