ParticipantHello
First post here. Would really appreciate any advice on how to tackle a fault which has developed with my Indesit IDF125 dishwasher.
It has developed a leak which is resulting in small amounts of water pooling underneath the machine. The water seems to collect near the front of the machine and to the left, as you look at it when normally positioned. No idea if the leak itself is in that area of the machine but that’s where the water is ending up.
No warning lights. The machine seems to wash the contents as well as it has ever done. No sign of a leak from the door seal.
I had a look underneath the machine. There’s a section of the underneath plastic base which can be removed quite easily to gain access to the innards. I did this in the hope that I would see something obvious like a split or loose hose, but there was nothing jumping out at me, not even any wet-looking parts.
I should say I’m in no way an expert, just a downtrodden bloke trying to respond to his wife’s demands to “stop that bloody thing leaking”…
All advice gratefully received!
Cheers
Aaron

I have the same dishwasher and the heater pump packed up. I have replaced this and it is working but is leaking where the heater connects to the motor so it could be that. However this leads to a question of my own, how do you stop it leaking?! I went from the wash light and start button flashing to just the wash light flashing.

My missus gave up on my incompetence and got somebody round to have a look at this.
Apparently there is a small tank which holds some water within the machine – no idea why, this is all second hand – and this tank has developed a crack.
The chap has tried to seal the crack, it has improved the situation but there is still a small amount of leakage. Next step is to replace the tank.
I haven’t had any flashing warning lights so far.

Just to complete the loop on this.
The part which had developed a crack and which was causing the leak was an “air break and turbine”, replaced with part reference C00256546 which is branded Indesit / Hotpoint / Ariston / Creda / Cannon.
