My Bosch Classixx KGU…. is leaking. Does anyone have an idea what it is or where it is coming from, is I can’t see the source (i.e. is it worth getting someone in to fix it).

    Many Thanks for any help

Can you put another pic up of directly above where that pic was taken.Possibly one which shows the complete motor area.
Could be dripping from ice somewhere above or could be the defrost water leaking/overflowing.
Does that grey corrugated pipe drain water to an evaporator tray?

    spimps thanks for replying.

You’re right the corrugated pipe should connect to the defrost water then go into the overflow evaporator tray. It has snapped cleanly right at the top. I am pretty sure it must have been broken when I bought it as it would be near impossible to knock it when I installed it without bending/breaking the copper. I also have a vague recollection of seeing itloose and wondering why it was there when I bought it.

Question is to repair it do I need to somehow reconnect it so it is sealed with a water seal (i.e. u bend) or can I just effectively prop a ‘shoot’ under the broken outlet and direct it into the evaporater?

It seems strange that they would design a u bend and overflow when they could just have a shoot?

If there is enough of a stub you could connect a softer pipe onto the old stub, perhaps some gaffer type tape.Don’t bother with the u bend.
