I had a problem with my Hoover Nextra dishwasher, it was making funny noise. I located the problem in the drain pump and fixed the issue. However it is now leaking and it looks as if I am missing the seal. I cannot see any obvious place for a seal. I am trying to fit an O-ring. Does any body know the correct part that I need. Hoover are no very good with technical details.

There is an “O” ring seal fitted in the joint of the drain pump housing and the pump motor body. I take it you split this to clear the blockage? If it’s not refitted, the pump will leak.

If you have lost the seal, it is not available from Hoover as a specific spare part – they will only sell the pump complete. However, an “O” ring is an “O” ring, so a visit to a bearing/transmission factors will probably yield what you want.

Thanks for the info, I need to be more carefull in future. I usually don’t miss parts, I guess I must have been asleep that day. If there had been a o-ring on the floor I would have spotted it so maybe it has falling into the cavity under the door so I guess I need to check there first of all.

Cheers … Thanks for your prompt response…
