    Evening,

For the past couple of weeks water has started to collect at the bottom of the fridge in our Hotpoint FFA71 fridge freezer. It sits there under the two plastic drawers and then runs out onto the floor when the fridge door is opened.

There seems to be a drainage channel about 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the way up at the back but this seems to be full. I can’t see a way to drain it.

Any help would be most appreciated to stop the missus from making this my fault… :rolls:

Flexible cable tie or something similar to rod down the drainage hole.

I tried that with a 12″ length of plastic rod – nothing has changed.

The tube will be blocked somewhere, I think that one goes all the way down internally between the insulation. Over time this pipe gets restricted due to the change in temperatures. Possibly as a result of the expanding foam insulation when it was made has squashed the pipe, if thats the case there is probably nothing you can do?
The other thing it could be, is frozen up,as it runs down close to the freezer back wall!
