Leaking seal on Bosch SGS5312GB Door

Too much time on my hands. Must be a Bank Holiday.

Took the front off our 5 year old bit of kit. Old seal split at the edge. Is fitting a new seal a do-able DIY task (with a star head tool) or is it a task for a pro only?

If so, is there a good way to get a decent price for what looks like a relatively quick job?

The seal should cost you about £25 inc post etc so not too bad (I assume we’re talking about the lower door seal ?)

These have been modified slightly on some models so it may be a straight replacement but still a bit fidly, watch our for sharp edges and power off :zap:

If you need someone to fit (and supply) check Repairs@ for an engineer.

Sadly, according to the postcode checker, there isn’t anyone registered in the HA2 / Harrow area. If you know of anyone who might be prepared to come slightly out of there way please let me know via the boards.
