Any help here would be appreciated guys. I recently noticed our fridge freezer was leaking from the front, bottom left hand corner. On taking off the plastic grill at the front, I could see that the water was coming from the area where the water pipe goes into the door at the bottom. This pipe has a fair bit of play in it and can be moved in and out by a few inches. I could also feel that two small sponge pads on the bottom of the freezer door are soaking wet. Could the door be filled with water which has leaked from this pipe?

To save a drenched kitchen floor in the morning I have closed off the water supply to the fridge freezer for now. I didn’t buy the freezer from new so am guessing that this would be OK.

Is the leak something I might be able to sort out myself, maybe by taking the door off? Or is it a job for an engineer?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Matty
In that bottom corner, there is usually a push to fit joint unit, which joins the feed pipe form the water valve to the uplift pipe to water dispenser. These sometime work loose and weep. Locate the unit and push both pipes fully home into the unit and test.
