    Hi guys

hoping someone can help with a quick question,

does anyone know, when you buy a fridge freezer the manufacturers recomend that you leave them for x hours (all seem to be different) for the gas to settle,

Is this a legal requirement or just advisory.

    thanks

    Hi Ezian

When the refrigeration units are moved the oil in the compressor can go into the high pressure pipework and then cause a blockage thus the fridge wont cool.

By leaving the unit to stand for approx 6 – 10 hours this enables the oil to trickle back into the compressor before it is switched on.
