    Hello
    I am seeking a thermostat for my Lec L-505 larder fridge manufactured about 1987 as it is trying to turn into a freezer by running all the time. Something similar that would fit would be fine.

    OK so I stopped being lazy took it apart to find its stamped RANCO K50/K54/K56 and 2 other K numbers I can’t remember which seems to be a universal thermostat and I have one on order now.

    Careful !

    K50, K54 and K56 are all freezer thermostats, for some reason Ranko stamp that on a few of the Lec ones 😕

    Lec use a thermostat which has the off position at 90 deg to the universal one’s 😉

    Genuine Lec one is £19.95 inc VAT and carriage which I can order for you or alternatively use a universal VT9 as long as you don’t mind the off position being wrong.
