    Hi Folks,

Customer reported fridge getting too cold and compressor running constantly.

I went out with replacement air and evaporator sensors, only to discover that this has the bi-metal thermal fuse/sensor (depending on which vendor is describing it). I got virtually zero ohms on one side, so I presume the thermal fuse part hasn’t blown. The other side I got infinity, so am I right in assuming I was measuring across a non functioning NTC?

    Any help gratefully received.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the diagram – looks like infinity was across the open bi-metal. Also looks like it has a conventional thermostat – that’ll teach me to make assumptions..not!
