I’ve been using one of those wind up torches for a while. Handy that you can wind it up if the battery goes flat but hopeless if you are trying to leave it aimed somewhere as you work with both hands. I’m thinking of getting one of the LED miners type lamps and wondered if anyone has tried them? I have a few AA rechargeable batteries so could carry spares (if they use this size).
    Cheers, Phil

They are great but you do tend to look a right berk wearing it, I have to say. :rolls: …..and your head keeps moving about…..!!! 😕

Best answer is an LED magnetic torch (I bought one from Tchibo ages ago – I tell a lie, the old slapper did!) and the torch head rotates thru 90 odd degrees and it also has a flourescent lamp and a magnet for sticking it on the machine cabinet whilst your poking about trying to replace the motor brushes. 🙂

Oh, just remembered…..it also has an ORANGE flashing light, to warn your customer of a man lurking about under her appliance, should you feel inclined?

Try doing all that with your headbanging miners lamp? 🙁
