ParticipantI embarrassingly bought the above over a year ago and only did the initial set up with no dishes in. We have now tried to use it and it doesn’t clean, get hot or dry off. It’s obviously out of warranty now and I need to know if there is anything I can check. Water supply, drainage and filtration all seem ok. Any help welcommed!

We need to have more information to give a diagnoses – it should start with abit of a pump out, followed by water going in, then circulating pump running (the one pushing water through the spray arms), heating of the water, dispenser opens and finally drain out – where in the sequence (if it gets this far) does it stop. Or doesn’t it start at all??

It seems to go through the whole program apart from no heat at Any point. I kept opening door mid program to check water was spraying but it was absolutely stone cold. It seems to drain ok as well. There is nothing at all happening at the drying stage.

Sounds like the heater and/or the thermostat has gone, as the heater is used to both heat the water and later to steam the dishes dry.

Is it a DIY kind of job do you think? The manual that came with is more of a user manual than a repair one. There is no breakdown of component tests or repairs.

To be honest it would probably be a good investment to get a local reputable engineer in to do it – otherwise you could end up spending loads on parts you dont need. If you post up your area/postcode I’m sure one of the guys on here will contact you.

Don’t know how cost effective that would be long term as I think we only paid about £200 for it new with 12month warranty? My post code is HX6 4DT by the way.
