Same appliance, does anyone know if the solid hotplates are special in any way or can I fit generic ones?

Also, any idea how to get the hotplate top off? It is covered in grease and I can’t see any fixing screws at the front.

Any help will be much appreciated

The hotplates you can use pattern, the hob comes off easly undo the 4 screws that hold the rear trim on some are difficult to see if you are old and decrepid like me, then it slides forward and you can lift it up.

There are also 2 screws slap bang in the centre of the hob where the 2 halves of the hob join.

    Thanks boys.

I can’t believe the state some people let their cookers get into!

It’s only two years old and it is absolutely filthy! 1/4 inch of grease around the rear trim. All of the hotplates have corrodeded. One has split in half!

I’m going to quote as high as I think I can get away with and hope she goes elsewhere.

    Thanks again for your help
