ParticipantThe right hand side of the grill has stopped working. Can this element be purchased separately?
My husband can move cooker out easily as he does for cleaning etc. and always take care with the gas connection. Is replacing the element straight-forward for a very competent DIYer?Anyone have any idea how much this would cost to have an engineer to replace? (Sorry if it’s against the rules to ask)
Thanks in advance. I love this site. Just wish I wasn’t slowly working my way over the months through all the forums 🙁

Grill elements are available separately, spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to supply one promptly enough, but they will need the serial number. This is usually found in the warming drawer.
If you choose to have the work done by an engineer, they will charge you for an hours work – rates vary widely across the country, so you should discuss that when making the appointment. Use the link below for a UKW engineer in your area.
Power off if you are going to do this yourself.

Personally, I would replace the two together as if one has gone there is a good chance the other will follow shortly.Plus there will be a significant difference in heat strength between the old and new element due to age.

Hi Jenny,
The grill element for this should be this one
From memory they are a stock item so only a couple of days lead time.

Hi
Start by isolting supply to range 😀 :plug: then remove pozi screw in centre of each element in turn. Take your time and do one at a time; make sure you dont lose the wires as you pull element out and they are a fiddle locating main body in holders in roof but perserverence will out 😀Greg
