ParticipantHi folks
Been to this to day – Mod No RM10CRK.
No main oven or timer working – traced an o/c to what looks like a thermal link in the wire which is the live feed to the timer.
Not seen this before presume if this goes the cooker as overheated altho there is no apparnt reason and there is no cooling fan and just relies on vents at the back of the cooker.
Do these give a problem just by themselves or should I be looking for a posible cause eg. oven thermostat over heating etc altho cust said she had not noticed anything previous – vent holes are clear.
Seemed quite weird to me as this is just positioned in the wiring loom and thought it might have been a resitor or something to drop the voltage for the lcd timer but def looks like a thermal link when I cut into the sleaving.
Cust asked if i would look at the secondry warming oven on the other side of cooker and the same thing has happened there altho that hasn’t been working for several years.
Anyone got any partno for these as cant find them listed on Connect or Masterpart.
Thanks
Mick

Manufacturers are now recommending that kit 4410101001 is fitted which includes thermal cut-out 210110544 & cables from terminal block to cut-out & from cut-out to selector sw’/thermostat.

Thanks for the replies guys
Have ordered two thermostats up as the cable kit is a special order but Connect had got the stats in stock.
Where do you fit the stat to – anywhere perticular? on the frame or oven unit? as the original was just floating in the wiring harness.
Thanks

Hi Folks
Got the thermostats but no fitting instructions.
Can any one tell me where they fit please – got to go back to fit tomorrow.
Or it looks like it might be an calculated guess 🙂
Thanks
Mick
