I have always had very successful responses to my posts on this site and for that I thank you all!
I have a problem with my Leisure Roma Range style cooker – The Second oven is dead, if I turn on the switch the indicator light does not come on and it does not heat up.
The fan oven and grill work perfectly and the timer is still working so it appears to only relate to the one oven – Anyone help

its one of those question “how long is a piece of string but it prob boils down to thermostats or switches as if the elements had failed the light would still light
also if this unit has a clock then it might be thatpost the full model to enable someone to look up the info on it

about a year ago I replaced the thermal cutout as the clock and fan oven had stopped working. The clock and fan oven are fine now and it is only the second oven.
It is a Leisure Cuisine Master 100

Did you manage to fix your top oven on your Roma 50 (RM5 CV) Leisure cooker? I have the same problem. No top oven or grill. I replaced the thermostat fuse to the main oven over a year ago, and now the top oven/grill is not working. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is there a thermostat fuse for the top over too? I found plenty of advice when my main oven went but I can’t seem to find a solution for the top. Can anyone help please?

If it’s not working at all and, only the top oven it is most likely one of these two that are the issue:

Thank you for the links I have ordered the switch. There’s a little orange light by this switch, mine has broken and I haven’t a clue where to look for this. I don’t suppose you could send me a link please could you? 🙂

Thank you. I’m a bit confused though, this element gets hot for the oven, but when I open the door for the grill to come on it doesn’t work. If I need a new element then why is it getting hot for the oven?
Do you think we could have disconnected a wire somewhere when we took the lid & front off?
It just seems strange that the element is getting hot, unless it works in 2 parts?

Yes, it’s a dual element.
Ordinarily the centre of it will be used for grilling and will often “glow” whilst the outer is used of the oven and full grill but it won’t “glow” merely heat.
So you can have one of the, in effect, elements of on of two circuits of the element faulty whilst the other works as usual.
