Leisure spark generator problem

My mum has just had a new kitchen fitted along with this gas oven which she purchased seperatly. There was a problem with the spark generator in the oven (it didnt work). They are going to send an engineer out in a week and forward a new part to her in advance ( I asume a spark generator for the oven). Now when i had a quick look, it seems the spark generator for the oven is wired up wrong. When you turn on the gas to the oven the four hob igniters spark not the oven. If you manually light the oven the four hob igniters continualy spark all the time the oven is on.
Apperantly this continual sparking is supposed to happen inside the oven as a safety feature in case the flame goes out. I dont do gas and didnt want to start messing with anythig as its under warranty but just wanted to to see what any of you guys thought.

Sounds like the ignition unit is working ok and the fault is probably a loose HT lead to the oven electrode or the electrode is not set in the correct position. 😉
