Damn, I was hoping that wasn’t going to be the case!
Is it pretty easy to replace myself (not being an appliance engineer), or do you think it would be better to get a professional in? If so, how much do you think it would cost roughly?
If it isn’t a one for one swap (most aren’t) then it’s a bit of faffing about in all honesty to replace old with new. Fine if you’re fairly confident and are decent DIY wise but, if not, then I’d advise a local repairer to do it for you.
Depends on where you are and who you call to do it but, about £40-70 would be what I’d expect plus the part.
