Leisure Zenith 50

Hi,

Overnight my Leisure Zenith 50 oven stopped working. There doesn’t seem to be any power going to it, as the clock doesn’t work either.

Tried turning it off and on at the mains and at the fuses for 5 mins each, but no avail.

Anybody got any ideas?

It will be a thermal fuse or safety thermostat that’s gone.

We’d need the model number to look it up for you though, Zenith is a range, 50 is likely the width or something but it’s not the model.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me!

I think its a ZE5HVS. I only say that as its the only other details I can find on there.

If its one of those two, how is the best way of solving it?

Damn, I was hoping that wasn’t going to be the case!

Is it pretty easy to replace myself (not being an appliance engineer), or do you think it would be better to get a professional in? If so, how much do you think it would cost roughly?

If it isn’t a one for one swap (most aren’t) then it’s a bit of faffing about in all honesty to replace old with new. Fine if you’re fairly confident and are decent DIY wise but, if not, then I’d advise a local repairer to do it for you.

Depends on where you are and who you call to do it but, about £40-70 would be what I’d expect plus the part.
