ParticipantHello All,
I have a Leisure Zenith 50, and the main fan oven suddenly stopped working whilst being used (half way through roasting a chicken! 🙁 )
The clock / timer display also went off – now completely blank. Everything else is working fine – the ceramic hob, the second oven, and the grill.Does anyone have any idea what might cause this? And, if so, what it would be likely to cost me to have it fixed?
Many Thanks,
Viv

Thanks ever so much for your reply.
I’m afraid I’m not at all technical, so don’t know what this means. Is it a big / expensive problem?
Thanks again,
Vivienne

It is a small button sized thermal cut out on the back of the oven.
Not an expensive part.

The full model number would help tell you what part to look for as some of those have been changed.
Zenith 50 is just the range, look for the model on the rating plate inside the oven door on a small sticker or plate.

Thanks All.
The Model Number is ZE5 HVS
Someone told me it might also be a faulty timer. Is that possible?

Timer is possible but, first look at the safety stats.
It’s this one used:

Should be mounted at the top rear of the oven cavity so far as I can see but, the diagram isn’t wonderful. According to the info two should be fitted, where the other is I can’t see off hand.
After that then look to the timer, which is this one:

Thanks a lot. That’s really useful.
I was just wondering, as the Timer is pretty expensive, if it does turn out to be that would it be possible (for a service engineer – not me!) to bypass the timer, so that the oven would work but with no timer?
Thanks again,
Viv

Possible in some cases to by-pass the timer, not sure on this one but, inadvisable at best.
