Have just bought this machine from a friend. Put it through a 95 degrees wash without laundry in as it has stood for a while. Wanted to check it heated. Fine. Went through rinse programme. Went through 30 mins. dry routine. Cd message on, to pressed Start/Pause button. Message went out. Door lock still lit. Went out after a couple of minutes but door still firmly locked. Cannot open door at all. Any suggestions please?

Slightly unusual fault. Would suggest matbe you door handle has snapped internally? Unplug your machine, remove the two screws at back of lid. Remove the top by banging backward, sometimes these are tight! Using a small flat bladed screwdriver prise the door hook across to unlock the door. Some of these machines have a twist unlock device inside the filter, so check that first.
