    Im going to have a go at replacing the bearings on my LG1280FHD washer i have removed the 18 or so bollts from the rear of the drum/motor housing it is now proving a bit stubborn to come apart is there something i should be doing. thanks in anticipation.

    There is a bearing on the outside (back) of the tank and a bearing and seal inside the tank. Either way, you need to finish up getting to the inside of the drum. Most LGs I’ve seen have a “clamshell” tank, which splits down the middle, so it’s all got to come out.

    Spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to supply with the required bearing set.

    Stay safe, power off at all times.

    Thanks Penguin job completed took tub out and had to persuade certain items to part using the hammer,probaly be doing it again in 18 months if not less.Thanks for advice.
