Have a machine where, when the power button is switched on the display lights up as it should, 3seconds later everything switches off. I checked the obvious, all clear. then realised that I could hear a relay dropping off on the board. I made the assumption that the main pcb was faulty.
Today I fitted the new board, everything OK selected a drain as a basic program. As I pushed the start button a big flash from the new board and now back to square one.
I am suspecting a fault on the interlock, but on basic check it seems to be OK.
Can anyone tell me if a fault on the lock can blow the board in a similar way to the Hotpoint? I have now got to buy a new very expensive board I will probably fit a new lock anyway But I would welcome a comment from an LG experienced guy.
