LG American Side By Side Freezer/Ice dispenser problems.

I have a 30 month old LG Side by Side fridge freezer model number:

GR – L207DVZA

A couple of weeks ago the ice dispenser stopped automatically dispensing ice into the ice bucket. Initially it still made ice and I could manually dispense it by sliding the button.

At this time ice-lollies were very soft but everything else remained solidly frozen.

Then last week everything defrosted. The freezer remained cool but not cold.

I don’t know if it is relevant but in June the external water filter split and sprayed water all over the rear of the fridge (there was so much water that it flooded the kitchen)

I took the cover off of the light and there was a large build up of ice underneath it.

I turned the unit off and defrosted the ice but the freezer still does not work. It’s cool but not cold.

Any suggestions of what the problem might be would be appreciated.

Still trying to get my freezer fixed, I have been away for four days and one freezer pack midway down the door has frozen but no others.

Has anyone experienced anything similar on any other freezers?
