LG direct drive

This one comes up with error CE which correlates to current error, motor or control unit.

Having replaced the motor (ok it was a 50/50 :lol:) the error is reappearing but less frequently but it’s still faulting nonetheless 😕

So…the control pcb it is then? I’m just a bit concerned because it’s in a damp cellar and wondered if moisture/humidity might be the problem?

Any pointers welcome 😀

I would think it unlikely that the damp conditions would be the cause….I am guesing it has been okay up to now?

If you have changed the motor it is likely to be the power supply board, however I have had one or two of these with a harness fault!

I am not sure on the direct drive models but on the belt drive I found a fracture in the cable right near to where the motor plug connects. It was not visible,but a wiggle of the cable bought up the fault whilst on spin.

The machine assumed there was a tacho fault.

check fault code section, see to remember I had one and a wire was broken on the motor plug.

Well….it seems that for some of the production of this model the power card is no longer available 😕

Does anyone have the tech details for confirming against the serial number? Failing that does anyone have the correct contact details for someone in LG who could help please?
