LG DIRECT DRIVE F1068QD

Hi All

My sister in law has just bought a new F1068QD & had an engineer out for 2 things. Firstly she was amazed at the whining noise when the machine runs especially in spin and couldn’t be in the same room with it, the engineer told her this was perfectly normal and that the label on the top with the sleeping baby and the words “super silent” didn’t mean anything!!!

Secondly, the machine does a spin within every wash program including woolens and even when she selects no spin, which is distressing her for obvious reasons.

I don’t know enough about LG and their tech team are unbelievably un-helpful. Can anyone assist me to explain the whining noise from this “super silent” machine or maybe a service manual or diagnostic program so that I can at least go and check it myself.

I sell quite a few lg mainly f1222td. There are never any excessive noise problems from the motor. The only thing in my opinion which let’s them down is the drain pump noise.
The spinning midcycle sounds suspect to me. Up here the inwarranty service is excellent. Without exception all my customers love their machines and recommend loads of sales to me.
