LG direct drive F1403YD6 fault code FE

Hi,

I have the above washer dryer now displaying:

fault code: FE

Symptoms: drum keeps filling with water, unit it stops displays fault code and then drains, but not fully.

hand book fault description: Water overfills due to the faulty water valve
Action: Close the water tap. Unplug the power plug. Call for service

I’ve looked at the guides on your website and I’m going to test the valve with a multi meter to check its continuity however, has anyone come across this fault before?

Code it be another component.

Machine just out of warranty.

If it keeps on filling then it won’t be the water valve unless it’s stuck open which would be unusual.

Thanks, I’ve had a good look through these but I can’t see anything that says if the water valve keeps being opened in any cycle.

Even a drain cycle results in the drum being filled with water.

I’m assuming its a main control broad issue?
