    Hi All

I need to replace the plastic hub at the centre of the LG direct drive motor as it has stripped all the splines from its hole, it looks like it should be possible to replace just the plastic hub at the centre of the rotor but I have not been able to find it listed separately anywhere, is this part available seperately or is it a complete rotor assembly?

    Thank you

    Jem

P.S. The machine is an LG F1403RD if it makes any difference.

Doesn’t it have a 10 year warrantee on that motor? Or is one that is pre 10 yrs

I had a feeling that it would be a complete rotor job though decided to ask just in case.

I didn’t see anything on the machine about the 10 year warranty and I am not sure that the customer will have done all the registration hoops – they are happy to go ahead with the repair anyway.

The replacement that arrived yesterday has got a metal insert in the centre that has much deeper teeth into the plastic so should last longer.

The orinal modification did away with the platis so i guess its cheaper platic with a metal collar….time will tell if the plastic around the collar gives way?
