    Hi folks

I had this LG washer the other day , 2 faults found …. drain pump blocked and heater wire snapped off . rectified and tested , all seemed ok .
Now I have been called back as apparently error LE was displayed and cycle didnt complete . Error code list shows this as ” motor is locked or hall effect sensor faulty ”
Is there any common issues with these that could be relevant ? and what is a hall effect sensor 😯 ?

I think (and somebody might correct me here) the hall sensor is to prevent damage to the stator in the event of a jammed drum.
Not sure if you can buy it separately or if it comes with the stator.

The hall sensor provides speed feedback and can be obtained without the stator…sometimes loose/damaged connections to it can be a problem apparently although i’ve never come across that …replacement seems the best option, and yes it is available on it’s own 😉

This could be the part number you are looking for. i have changed a couple in the past, never changed the complete stator.

connect have it stock into me at £17.51. (but we know what there pricing is like so your price will probably be different ) :rolls:
as far as i can remember you have to remove the stator to fit it but it just push fits on, easy job.

Thanks everyone …. fingers crossed for broken wiring – apparently was ok before broken wiring to the heater , and the drum turns freely by hand . I will post the outcome when sorted
