LG Door Problem WM1480FHD

The door catch has broken on this machine LG WM1480FHD

I can’t release the door from the inside because the interlock has a fully covered back so you cannot get to the pecker to release the door.

Is it a case of breaking the interlock 🙁 or is there some ingenious way in?

hi neil,

its so easy to open it you will kick yourself for not thinking of it,
get 2 foot of string slide it behind the door at the catch side, one hand holding the end of the string at 11 oclock position the othe hand at the 7 oclock position and give it sharp tug, job done, or you can use a credit card end on and push the latch backwards. 😆
