ParticipantHI,
I have a 5 year old LG F1247TD washing machine. After starting came up with the IE code (After 4 minutes). Have checked all the filters and replaced inlet valve but still have same problem – the water pressure is good. Any ideas as to what the problem may be.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike
this sounds like a water level control issue??
The appliance thinks it does not have water when I assume that it does ?
I have had a wierd pressure switch fault on an LG Top Loader in the past
Not exactly the same as your fault as my issue was no spin but that ended up being the pressure switch so I know they give off funny errors even though filling levels are normal which again I assume are normal in your case?
Failing this of course its the old control module left ??
Was the old valve actually faulty? Did you test it? If so what was wrong?solonoid or mechanical??December 6, 2015 at 12:44 pm #433443Mikecall

Hi Melec
Thanks for that was wondering if the pressure switch could be the problem. The old inlet valve still appears to be o.k. but changed to prove the problem.Hoses to pressure switch are all clear have checked them.December 6, 2015 at 2:20 pm #433444melec

to be honest I do not know a way to test that type of pressure switch ( It just has 3 small tags that you plug into right ?)
I know that you cannot just quickly blow in and listen for the clicks as is digital so it is a case of changing the part and hoping !!
Also you will need the exact pressure switch. Dont think because you have another from an LG that has same plug orientation that it will necessarily work. They all have different set ups and therefore part numbers just in case you were thinking….
All depends on the price of it, don’t think they are too expensive ??
If it has a normal type pressure switch (11,12,13 etc ) them ignore all that but I have never seen LG with them. Make sense ??December 6, 2015 at 4:43 pm #433445Mikecall
