    Hi all.
    My machine is 6 months out of waranty and has started ‘grumbling’. It sounds like drum bearing noise to me and when I remove the inspection plate at rear (after tilting machine on it’s back) I see what looks like rusty water in the centre of the bearing.. I am thinking replacing them myself. As this is a direct drive, is it any more difficult than conventional machines? Has any one done this job and have any advice?

    Change the rear half.

    Cheers for quick reply Bryan.
    Can I ask why rear half? I take it the drum still has to come out?
    Anything that makes the job easier is good for me!

    It’s a basket if the bearings are stuck and also have a habit of wearing the holder
